Justin Nordin, Ph.D.

Clinical Assistant Professor of Management, College of Business Administration, Loyola Marymount University

Justin is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Management and Sustainability at Loyola Marymount University. He earned his B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Penn State, his M.A. in Philosophy from LMU, and his Ph.D. in Philosophy from Loyola University Chicago. He has taught courses on ethics, business ethics, personhood, postmodernism, critical thinking, and human rights, and previously directed a learning center for pre-college students in Chicago. His research explores the intersection of phenomenology and normative ethics, focusing on the ethical significance of otherness, vulnerability, and dependency — drawing on the work of Emmanuel Levinas and feminist care ethics to develop a vulnerability-based model of care applicable to corporate responsibility and business leadership.
